About the institute:
Mandsaur Institute of Technology (MIT) was established in the city of Mandsaur in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India in the year 1996. MIT is managed by a Board of Governors with Mr. Narendra Nahata as its chairman. Shri Narendra Nahata is an ex-cabinet minister of Government of Madhya Pradesh and is credited to give new dimensions to technical education in Madhya Pradesh.


The Institute runs Under Graduate engineering courses approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi (Statutory body of Government of India) and Department of Technical Education (DTE), Bhopal, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The Institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal.

  • The institute campus is spread over an expanse of 35 acres comprising main institute building with built up area of 20,000 Sq. Mtrs and Gents Hostel (present capacity for 240 Gents), Ladies Hostel (present capacity for 120 Ladies) & Staff Quarters. The campus is being developed into a township with all the modern amenities, comprising a total constructed area of 24000 sq. Mtrs. In addition to this the institute is having two open air auditoriums each of 1000 sq. Mtrs. The constructed area covers academic and administrative block, Hostel complexes for Ladies and Gents and staff quarters.

Academic Activities:
As the world is reshaping itself in terms of Power, Economics and Scientific Developments, it has become essential for us to upgrade ourselves and stand firm in changing scenario. The rate of scientific development has increased many folds in past few decades. New scientific tools are emerging day by day and henceforth making us further strong to embark other dimensions of research. MIT is now all set to contribute its part, towards creation and development of multi-talented and highly motivated scientific work force.


Non-Academic Activities:
In addition to our mission of achieving world-class educational excellence, the institution is fully committed to develop technical awareness among people of its surrounding localities. Our staff and students find time between their academic schedules to devote themselves towards activities related to social upliftment. We conduct free career counseling and guidance for students of rural areas so that they can align themselves to most suitable professional tracks where they can do their best. We conduct test and training sessions through SAT ( Self assessment test) for the 12th students of nearby schools so that they can assess and prepare themselves for AIEEE and PET examinations.


How to apply:
The candidate can take admission in B. E. through two methods as


(a) Admission in B. E. courses through entrance test (PEPT 2010) / qualifying exam.


(b) Admission in B. E. courses (Second year) - lateral entry to Diploma holders and B. Sc.


Mathematics graduates through entrance test (LET 2010) / qualifying exam.

Scholarships:
The Institute has decided to provide further encouragement to students by way of granting financial support to the eligible students at the entry-level and also during their stay for study at the Institute.


There are 3 kinds of such support at present:


* Entry-level: One time financial grant to meritorious students taking admission in MIT.


* Merit-cum-means scholarships to meritorious students from financially weaker families


*Assistance ships to students at an hourly rate for their assistance in laboratories, tutorials, library and other work at the Institute.
