| About the institute: |
The Rustamji Institute of Technology (RJIT), is the first Engineering College in India established by a Para Military Force. Due to deployment of the bulk of the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in militancy affected areas, the majorities of the force personnel stay separated from their families and are unable to look after the education of their children. A number of personnel are laying down their lives in the fight against anti national elements every day.
The Rustamji Institute of Technology (RJIT) has been set up with the objective of giving an opportunity to the children of serving BSF personnel as well as for those who have laid down their lives in service to the nation, for acquiring higher technical qualification. The Border Security Force education fund sponsored the development of the institute.

Admission to all undergraduate courses is provided through M.P. State level counseling conducted by RGPV. Bhopal and Director of Technical Education, Bhopal. All the Eligibilities and qualifications fixed by state Government are applicable.

* Shri K.F. Rustamji, had taken keen interest to obtain scholarships for the children of those bsf personnel who have laid down their life in service to the nation, and studying in the RJIT. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has offered a grant of Rupees Fifteen lakhs for grant of scholarship. The rules for the grant of the scholarship have been sent to the Madhya Pradesh Govt. and final orders awaited.
* Shri K.F.Rustamji had initiated proceedings for the grant of scholarship to girl students, who are wards of BSF personnel, and studying in the RJIT. Shri Cyrus Rustamji, son of Shri K.F.Rustamji has awarded two scholarships for girl students.
* Shri Chandrajit Bajaj, Director, Department of Computer Sciences and TICAM, Austin, a close friend of the Rustamji family has announced one scholarship for the children of BSF personnel studying in the RJIT. Preference will be given to children of BSF personnel who have laid down their lives in service to the nation.
* The students and the staff convey their grateful thanks to Shri Cyrus Rustamji and Shri Chandrajit Bajaj for institution of the scholarship.
