AVS College of Engineering and Technology (AVSCET) is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Anantapur. The college was founded in 2002 by the Chairman Mr. SV Shivagnanom to produce engineers with a passion and zeal for excellence. The college is being run by two young and dynamic AVS trustees.

The AVS Educational Trust, a non-profit Charitable & Educational Trust, is started in 2000 to serve the community, particularly the weaker sections of the society by providing quality education and training. Mr. SV Shivagnanom, a visionary industrialist and philanthropist is the founder of the trust.

The college is located in Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh. All India Council for Technical Education has approved all the courses offered by this college.

The college imparts quality education in the fields of science, engineering and technology, at undergraduate and post graduate levels. AVSCET creates competent, disciplined, efficient and qualified engineers and technocrats.

The college offers programs such as Bachelor of Technology level courses in various disciplines such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Information Technology. The college also offers post graduate level course in Master of Computer Application.

Undergraduate:

The candidates have to qualify the EAMCET, the common entrance test held by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The candidates are selected on the basis of their score in Integrated Common Entrance Test, ICET, held by the state government.
