The Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) was established by Akshaya Charitable Trust in the year 2009. The Trust has been founded by professionals having 25+ years experience in industry, and a renowned professor, Dr. K. Thanushkodi, Syndicate member of Anna University, Coimbatore having more than 35 years of teaching, research and administrative experience in various Government and Self- financing Engineering colleges. The trust aims at imparting high quality education, with strong ethics to its students and craft them into global professionals, ready to adapt to changing environments and face new challenges. The institution is headed by a well known professor, Dr. K. Sankaranarayanan, having more than 30 years of Teaching, Research and Administrative experience in various Government Engineering colleges.

- Computer & Internet:The college has an excellent Computer Lab equipped with Computers with latest configuration and up-to-date softwares. All the systems are connected through LAN. The Department is also equipped with an Internet connectivity of 4 Mbps bandwidth (1:1) to facilitate the faculty and student community for their education and research needs. A Home Away from Home Separate hostels available for Boys and Girls inside the campus, with well furnished and spacious rooms. The hostels have excellent water facility, modern kitchen and dining. The students are provided with the choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The rooms are furnished with individual cots, tables, chairs, and bureau. Importance is given in maintaining discipline and security of the students. The resident warden of each hostel takes care to see that all the needs of the students are met and a homely atmosphere with a sense of security is created. Immediate medical care is given to hostel students on requirement.
