| About the institute: |
The Government of Uttar Pradesh established the college in 1996 for imparting technical education and promoting technical research to bolster the technical strength of state. The institute is financed by the government of Uttar Pradesh and is regularly granted a high amount by University Grant Commission of India for technical education and research.

| Infrastructure: |
- The campus of institute is located inside the colossal university campus. Each of the department has its own building and a separate administrative block for college with their own set of guards and non-teaching staff. There are three boys' hostels and one girls' hostel. All the buildings are well connected by wide properly maintained roads. The college has full power back-up with a high capacity power generator. All the building are well connected with computer network with a very high speed internet availability.

| How to apply: |
Admission to IET Bareilly is given on the basis of rank obtained by the candidate in AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). Earlier the college used to conduct its own entrance examination for the selection of students.
